Ethel was born Aug. 23, 1928, in Granville Township to Hjalmer "Elmer" and Matilda Carolina (Nelson) Jeppson. She married Floyd B. Holocker on May 4, 1947, in Magnolia.
In 1963, Ethel and her family moved to Wisconsin to own and operate Squirrel Lake Resort for 21 years. They returned to Illinois, where she wallpapered and painted for about 25 years. She and Floyd own and operated Holocker's Tree Farm.
They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this year.
She is survived by her husband and four children, Bill (Mary Lynn) Holocker of Ladd, Diane (Bill) Kuhne of Hennepin, "Buzz" Floyd (Susan) Holocker of Granville and Gary Holocker (and Mary Ann Jennings) of McNabb; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one brother, John Jeppson of Spring Valley.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, one sister and two grandsons.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Jeff, Aaron, B.J. and Seth Holocker, Bill Kuhne Jr., Brian Kuhne, Eric Coughlan and Aaron Buffo.
Burial will be in Granville Cemetery.
