BAXTER- Funeral services for Minnie Bell Lafever, 84, of Route 2, Baxter, were conducted Tuesday, July 8, at the chapel of Whitson Funeral Home with Bro. Bob Pharris and Bro. Eddie Haynes officiating. Burial was in Nash Cemetery.
Mrs. Lafever died July 5 en route to Cookeville General Hospital. Born November 23, 1895, in Putnam County, she was the daughter of the
late Johnny Calvin and Caldonnia Herren Ashburn and the wife of the
late Asher Lafever.
Survivors include four sons, Aaron Lafever, Orby Lafever, Poy Lafever, all of Baxter, and Roy Lafever of Cookeville; three brothers, Johnny Ashburn, Alvin Ashburn, both of Baxter, and Allie Ashburn of Smithville; 12 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Whitson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
