Mary GRAVES was born circa 1777 in Orange County, NC where her parents Sebastian GRAFF (1747-1840) and Sarah EFLAND (1751-1842) had relocated from Berks County, PA. Her parents relocated again, this time to Knox County, TN sometime prior to 1800. The GRAFF name had became Anglicized at some point to GRAVES.
Mary GRAVES married George TROUTT (1776-1852) on 14 Jan 1801 in Knox County, TN. Mary raised four sons and one daughter, and preceded her husband in death on 9 Sep 1826. Her husband, George, was buried at her side some 26 years later in Jan 1852.
