Perpetual Emigrating Fund, Financial Accounts 1849-1886, Ledger C, p. 566. documents that all of the Abel family received funds to cross the Great Plain in 1863, even though their Company is currently "Unknown 1863". The baby boy is named Isaac Cynosure Abel. Evidently named after the ship on which they sailed. The Cynosure left Liverpool 30 May 1863 and arrived at Port of New York 19 July 1863 according to "Latter-day Saint Immigration to America". According to an Autobiography of Presiding President, David M. Stuart , there were seven births on board. Notes on the immigration report for this baby read, " Isaac's name does not appear on the ship manifest because he was born while on the journey to America. He died en route before arriving in Utah." His birth date is recorded here: Isaac Cynosure Abel, Utah Mormon Pioneer Overland Travel Database, 1847-1868 - "Immigration 1863, Deseret, United States, Male, Birth 10 June, Departure date 1863, Death 05 Oct 1863, Company Unknown".
