William Daniel
REXBURG - William West Daniel, 71, a Rexburg mechanic, died July 30, 1985, at Madison Memorial Hospital of a heart attack.
He was born Jan. 31, 1914, at St. Anthony, son of Homer Knox and Mary Elizabeth Corry Daniel (Knox - error).
He graduated from Sugar-Salem High School and attended two years college at Eugene, Ore. He married Eloise Petersen Nov. 26, 1934 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. He was a member of the LDS Church. He coached a softball team for the church. He worked as a mechanic in the Upper Snake River Valley for most of his life.
Survivors are three sons, William Larry Daniel of Ashton, Kenneth J. (Buzz) Daniel and Gerry Gene Daniel, both of Rexburg; a daughter, Mrs. Blaine (Sharon) Hall of Rexburg; five brothers, Lester Thomas Daniel of Ogden, Utah, Homer Nolan Daniel of Idaho Falls, Robert Oscar Daniel, Walter Lyle Daniel, and Russell Chester Daniel, all of Tacoma, Wash.; a sister, Lura Edith Downey of Stockton, Calif.; 21 grandchildren and three great grand-children. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Rexburg LDS 17th Ward Church at Burton with Bishop Delbert Edstrom officiating. Friends may call Friday from 7-8:30 p.m. at Flamm Funeral Home, and at the church Saturday from 12 noon until 12:45 p.m. Burial will be in the Wilford Cemetery.
