Thomas Scott Dead

Thomas Scott died this morning in a local hospital where he had undergone an operation several days ago for complications resulting from an attack of influenza six weeks ago. He was aged seventy-one years at the time of his death and was living at the home of his son, J.E. Scott, at 228 North Second street. Mr. Scott used to be a farmer near this city but has been retired for the last twenty-five years, living in this city for thelast eight years. He leaves three children to mourn his loss, J.E. Scott and Mrs. Jane Derr of this city, and Mrs. Ida Van Winkle of Phoenix, Arizona. Funeral arrangements are pending the receipt of a telegram from Mrs. Van Winkle, but burial will be made near Geuda Springs.
