The Fairbury Daily News-May 24, 1934
Mrs. Albert Kriesel passed away at 11:30 a. m. Saturday at her home west of Fairbury, following a lingering illness. She was 61 years, 8 months and 7 days of age and had lived in this county for forty-nine years.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Zion Evangelical church, east of Gladstone, in charge of Rev. H. Henning. Interment was in the church cemetery.

Obituary
Millie Schoenrock, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Christian Schoenrock, was born at Broden, Posen, Germany, Sept. 12, 1872. She came to this country at the age of twelve years, settling with her parents on a farm west of Fairbury. She had made her home in that vicinity continuously since that time.
She was married to Albert Kriesel March 11, 1894, at Gladstone. Five children were born to them, one daughter dying in infancy.
She was confirmed in her youth as a member of the Zion Evangelical church, and was a faithful member until her death.
Mr. and Mrs. Kriesel celebrated their fortieth wedding anniversary March 11, 1934.
Surviving are her husband; one son, Ernest Kriesel; three daughters, Mrs. Adeline Schoenrock, and Mrs. Emma Schweer of Fairbury and Millie at home; three brothers, Fred Schoenrock, John H. Schoenrock and August Schoenrock, all of Fairbury; two sisters, Mrs. Augusta Gussman of Eldorado (sic), Kas., and Mrs. Edith Junker of Los Angeles, Calif.; and eight grandchildren. One sister, Mrs. Henrietta Murphy, passed away in 1932.
Nephews of Mrs. Kriesel acted as pallbearers: Henry Schoenrock, Albert Schoenrock and Arthur Dux of Gladstone, Arthur Schoenrock and Arthur Zimmerman of Fairbury and Arthur Kriesel of Halsey.
Among those from a distance who attended the funeral service were Mrs. Edith Junker of Los Angeles, Calif.; Mrs. Arthur Case and E. D. Murphy of Independence, Kas.; Mr. and Mrs. John Gussman of Eldorado (sic), Kas.; Mr. and Mrs. William Elgelbart of Creston; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Kriesel and family of Halsey; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Glazer and Mr. and Mrs. August Glazer of Crete; Mr. and Mrs. Chris Schweer, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Schweer and Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Wedeking of Ohiowa.
