Irene (Riethmeyer) Stolle passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2007, at the age of 86. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, November, 18th, 2007 at Providence Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 19, 2007 at Grace Lutheran Church in Elgin. Burial will follow at Taylor City Cemetery.
Irene was born on June 26, 1921, in Thrall, Texas, to David and Ida Riethmeyer. She was married to Roy W. Stolle on September 1, 1945, and they spent most of their 55 years of married life living in the Taylor area near Beyersville.
Irene was preceded in death by her husband, Roy; a brother, Ewald Riethmeyer and three sisters; Helen Horn, Elsie Poldrack, and Selma Zieschang.
She is survived by a sister, Mabel Rummel of Dumas; two children; Rev. Gary Stolle and his wife, Jane of Independence, Missouri, and Joan Luker and her husband, David of Houston, Texas; three grandchildren; Amy (Stolle) Ford and her husband Chris, Geoff Luker, and Heidi Luker; and one great-grandchild; Jasmine Ford.
Pallbearers will be Nelson Poldrack, Bruce Blage, Leon Miller, Scott, Zieschang, Morris Zieschang, and Gene Rummel.
