Mr. Robert Lucious Anderson, better known as "Jack", age 81, of Roaring River, died Thursday, March 31, 2005 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem.

Funeral services will be held at Brier Creek Baptist Church Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Anderson was born in Wilkes County, April 6, 1923, to Robert Hance and Martha Ann Holland Anderson. He was retired from Chatham Manufacturing and was a poultry farmer for Tyson Foods, Inc.

His wife, Ella Mae Blackburn Anderson, two sisters, Ethel Wood and Marie Sanders and four brothers, Henry Anderson, Willie Anderson, Russell Anderson and Rex Anderson preceded Mr. Anderson in death.

Mr. Anderson is survived by two sons, Richard Larry Anderson and his wife, Kay and Russell Hance Anderson all of Roaring River; four sisters, Dorothy Welborn of Jonesville, Kay Meldoff of Roaring River, Jean Moore, and Betty Johnson both of Wilkesboro; one brother, Bobby Anderson of Wilkesboro; three grandchildren, Kim Weatherman and husband, Bryan, Lisa Douglas, Richie Anderson and wife, Michelle; 2 step grandchildren, Paul Layne and wife, Karen, Aaron Layne and wife, Heather; eight great grandchildren, Tia, Megan, Lakyn, Halle, Bailey, Anna, Cassidy, and Alex.
