Rebecca "Becky" Jane Bricker went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 2, 2017, with her loving daughters at her side, holding her hands. She was 87. Becky was born to Walter and Terzah Skidmore on May 17, 1929, in East Liverpool, Ohio. She was a graduate of Eastern Nazarene University, where she met the love of her life, John Bricker. The two were married in 1951. Becky was a loving mother and wife, raising her three children, instilling in them a love of the Lord and a desire to serve Him. Becky loved sharing knowledge with others, teaching at Heritage Christian School and Lake Christian School in the Canton area, as well as Sunday school, vacation Bible school, and years of piano lessons. Becky attended Malone University, where she received her Master of Divinity, also becoming a recorded minister in the Evangelical Friends Church. It was her daily mission to live out her faith through telling the good news of Jesus Christ to those around her. Becky was passionate about missions, even serving on an extended missions trip to China. To spread the love of Christ, Becky faithfully visited many in nursing homes and hospitals. More often than not, when Becky was present there was singing, with her often providing accompaniment on the piano. To this day, if you were to be present at any family gathering, you would likely hear Becky's kids and grandkids singing the "Doxology" before eating, just as you would at Becky's house growing up. Some of her other favorite hymns were "There's Within My Heart a Melody" and "There's Something About That Name." Hollow Rock Camp meeting, in Toronto, OH, held a special place in Becky's heart, where she attended annually. Becky's love of Hollow Rock Camp Meeting created a legacy, a place where, to this day, Becky's family fellowships and grows in the Lord. Rebecca Bricker was a faithful servant, spreading her love of Christ by singing hymns and praying for those around her up to her last day.

Becky was preceded in death by her loving husband, John F. Bricker, son Dr. J. Timothy Bricker, her parents, and siblings Donald, Edith, Eleanor, and Tom. She is survived by her daughters Carol (Greg) and Connie (John) of Mt. Gilead, daughter-in-law Janet Bricker, 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grand children, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Becky's family will greet friends from 3 – 6 p.m. on Sunday, March 5, 2017, at the Snyder Funeral Home, Craven Chapel, 67 N. Main St., Mount Gilead, and again from 10 – 11 a.m. on Monday, March 6, 2017. Services to honor and celebrate her life will be held there at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Marva Hoopes officiating. Committal service and burial will take place at 3:00 p.m. in North Lawn Cemetery, Canton, OH.

In lieu of flowers, Becky requested donations be made to the Gideon's or Hollow Rock Camp Meeting Missions Fund.
