Ada lived in Atlanta Georgia all her life.
She married William Shaw Strouss Sr on April 29, 1914. They had one son, William Shaw Strouss Jr born April 14, 1922. They divorced when their son was very young. He remarried Lillie Mae Brown and raised her children. Ada returned back home to 1010 Oxford Rd and lived there with her father, mother and sisters Nell, Lois and Mary.

Ada was a wonderful pianist and played for Sunday School and church services at Westminster Presbyterian Church. The Aaron Monroe Hollingsworth family and the Lawrence David Strouss families were both charter members.

I personally saw a large panoramic photograph owned by Marianne Strouss McConnell about 1983 with both of these families standing on each end on the steps of this church. It later burned to the ground in the fire of Atlanta on May 21st, 1917.
All the furniture upstairs in all four bedrooms was lost, but most of the downstairs was saved.

In her later years Ada fell on the front steps of 1010 Oxford Rd, which eventually led to further complications and her death in the hospital.
