Died June 15, 1870, M Antonia Alviso, wife of Augustin Alviso, aged 58 years.
Born in California, and for thirty years residing upon the Rancho Los Cerritos, she had endeared herself not only to all her countrymen and women, by her affability and boundless generousity, but many settlers in the County of Alameda will bear testimony to her goodness of heart, and to the fact that no one was permitted to go hungry from her doors; and all who knew her will cherish her memory as one of the kindest and best of women, possessing, to an eminent degree, all Christian graces.
