LOUISE E. (BERNARD) BELL, Age 91, Canton, died September 19, 2021. Louise is preceded in death by parents Philip and Allegra (Brawley) Bernard and was a life-long resident of Canton. A 1948 graduate of Timken Vocational High School she was employed by Halle Brothers, Metropolitan Life Insurance Company and retired from Plain Local Schools where she was a librarian and secretary for twenty years ending her career at Pleasant View School for the Arts. Louise loved to read, travel with her husband, spend the winter in Brownsville, Texas and attend her grandchildren's sporting events, music gigs and art exhibits. Louise and her husband, Donald, raised five children together and were married for sixty-nine years. She is survived by her husband, Donald; daughters: Marla (Gary) Gombita of Lebanon, Ohio; Melinda (Tim) Beitler of Canton; Mary (Brad) Ervin of Lexington, Virginia; grandchildren: Kimberly and Ryan Gombita, Nick (Nina) Beitler, Anthony (Taylor) Beitler, Jeremy, Allegra and Colby Ervin; great-grandsons, Henry and Owen Beitler; sister Vivian Rogers of Canton and brother Dr. Philip (Nina) Bernard of Lancaster, Ohio. Family and friends may call Wednesday from 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. at Christ the Servant Parish followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:30 p.m. with Monsignor Lewis Gaetano as celebrant. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
