Carlos Addington age 79 of Dorton, passed away Sunday, September 19, 2021 at Pikeville Medical Center. He was born on December 1, 1941 to the late Noble and Etta Mullins Addington. He was a member of the Old Regular Baptist Church .
Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife; Brenda Addington, two brothers; Russell Addington and Roger Addington and two sisters; Beatrice Akers and Alice Burke.
He is survived by his wife; Violet Addington, one son; Carlos Dewayne (Christina) Addington of Knoxville, TN, four step-sons; James Rowe of Elkhorn City, Lee Rowe of Pikeville, Terry Rowe of Rogersville, TN, David Rowe of Pikeville, one step daughter; Kathy Cantrell of Elkhorn City, four brothers; Elmo Addington of Beefhide, Dale (Vickie) Addington of Flemingsburg, Narvil (Carol) Addington of Beefhide, Carvil (Joann) Addington of Michigan, three sisters; Lavon Osborne of Dorton, Marie (Audy) Stewart of Beefhide, Anita Eddington of Beefhide.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00AM at the Hall & Jones Funeral Home with Old Regular Baptist Ministers officiating. Burial will follow in the Addington-Johnson-Newsom Cemetery at Dorton. Visitation will begin on Wednesday after 6:00PM at the Funeral Home with services beginning at 7:00PM.
