ALBERT VAN DUZER ANSWERS LAST CALL PIONEER OF 50 YEARS DIES AFTER ILLNESS OF MANY MONTHS
One of the most highly respected and widely known merchants and pioneers of this county Albert Van Duzer Sr., passed away in this city yesterday morning at 2:45 o clock after a lingering illness of several months, paralysis being the direct cause of his death. For several years Mr. Van Duzer has been prominent in the business circles of Loleta where his family resides. He was born near the San Gabriel mission Los Angeles and was ? years, 7 months and 2 days of age and has been a resident of this county for the past 52 years. His passing will be mourned by a widow Mrs. Florence Van Duzer and two sons Albert Jr. and Theodore Van Duzer, one brother J H. Van Duzer of Singley's, a sister, Mrs. Sara Jane Parrot of Eureka and Mrs. James F. Mahan of this city, a niece, a nephew W. H Parrot resides at Table Bluff. The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon from the family residence at Loleta at 1:30 o'clock. Rev. A. ? Skee of the Congregational church of Loleta will officiate and interment will be in the Table Bluff cemetery.
