Edna Cornett, age 77, of Eaton, Oh, formerly of West Alexandria, OH, passed away Saturday evening, October 7, 2006. Born September 3, 1929 in Floyd Co., KY to the late Elza & Cona (May) Baldridge. Mrs Cornett was a music lover and an avid Elvis fan. She enjoyed shopping, gardening and bingo. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband Mitchell D. Cornett on March 18, 1988: and brothers Felix and Herbert Baldridge. Survived by children Linda Wise & husband Bruce E. of West Alexandria; Denver Cornett & wife Charlene D. of Dayton; Peggy Cornett of Eaton; LaVerne Cornett & wife Rita of West Alexandria; and Micky Cornett & wife Tammy Lynn of Eaton; grandchildren Corey and Brian Wise; Zachery and Alie Cornett; Amanda and Trevor Cornett; great grandchildren Kyler and Alexis Wise; Kayla Wise; Mackenzie Wise and Skyler; sisters Gladys Spradlin, Ruby Todd, Nancy Andrews, Mildred Adkins all of SE Ohio; Phyllis Sizemore of Ft. Wayne, IN; brothers Dean Baldridge of SE Ohio and Tom Baldridge of Columbus, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, October 11, 2006 at the Robert L Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens-3377 US Rt 35-West Alexandria. Pastor Tom Vorhis presiding. Friends may call on the family at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM Tuesday and from 12:00-1:00 PM Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Assn. Interment Fairview Cemetery, West Alexandria.
