John Jackson, "Jackson" was born to Phillip Bolsinger & Mary Jane (Polly)Nelson.
He was married to Mary Christopher Sept 23 1860. She died Mar 30 1872. They had one child, Phillip (-16 Sept 1871.)
He was a Civil War veteran serving in Company C 140th Regiment in the PA. infantry. He was wounded at Gettysburg on July 2 1863. His first cousin, Andrew Jackson Bolsinger, (father= Christopher C.), who also served, is also buried in the same cemetery.
After the war, John Jackson married Mina Hart, 9 Aug 1868 in Clayton Co., IA. They had six children; Nora, (1871-1955), Norman Miles, (1873--1955), George Riley, (1876-1943), Florence, (1880-1952, Rhoda Mae, (1884-1981) and Oscar Arnold, (1888-1988.) The last four children were born in Clayton Co., IA.
