The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. A viewing will be held from 10:30 a.m. - 11:15 a.m. prior to the funeral service at 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Salem Fields Community Church. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens and a repast to follow at Salem Fields Community Church.

Sarah spent her entire life loving the Lord and serving Jesus Christ, her husband, children, extended family and the church community. She attended Needham Broughton High School in Raleigh, NC. Her true calling to be a messenger of her faith came early in life. She came to know that Jesus was her Lord and savior at the young age of 19, on the "Old Sawdust Trail" in a tent meeting on January 20th in Raleigh, NC. From then on she devoted her life to Jesus Christ and the sharing of the Lord's word with everyone in her life. From there she moved to Washington DC to go work for her uncle at his diner. Not long after that she started working at the Naval Research Laboratory and volunteered with VISTA, Volunteers in Service to America.

In Arlington, VA she married the love of her life, Roland Joseph Everly on February 21, 1951. Gospel Hymn Writer N.B. Harrel officiated their marriage, and it was quite the honor for the two newlyweds. She worked alongside her husband, Roland in the family mechanical business: Everly's Auto Repair. Later in her life, she continued to dedicate her time and life to work and volunteering to help others and became an active member of Kelly Home Health Care in Falls Church, VA. Moving to Appomattox, VA where she and her husband worked together running Texaco stations, raised her family, and shared her devout faith in the Lord. She also went back to Arlington, VA for a short period and then later the family moved to Fredericksburg, VA. She continued to serve God and people… in The Welcome Wagon, Hospice Volunteering and Joy Ministry at her church-- passing along her love, care and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ to all she assisted, also, caring and attending part-time with many local families. She continued to volunteer and be active in many small group ministries to include The Joy Ministry to seniors.

In lieu of flowers, her family strongly encourages expressions of sympathy to take the form of donations to refurbish and furnish the garden and deck of the Everly Fountain of Life at Salem Field's Community Church.
