Jackie Dale Kirby 86 years old of Bloomfield passed away Friday September 3rd at Hospice House in Ottumwa.

Jack was born November 19, 1934 at his family's farm near Moulton to Erca Wilbur and Bessie Vergie (Adams) Kirby. Jack graduated in 1953 from Moulton High School in Moulton.

On June 5th, 1955, Jack was united in marriage to Hanna Lavera Wilkinson at the Bloomfield Christian Church. To this union came two children: Randy Dale and Glenda Kay.

Jack was a farmer and an all over the United States Truck driver for many years. After retirement he volunteered at The Bloomfield Historical Society.

Survivors include his wife Hanna, his children Randy (Crystal Eaton) Kirby and Glenda (Larry) Long. Three grandchildren Heather (Tyler) Baze, Michael Swarts, and Hallie (Dillion Morgan) Kirby. Great grandchildren Kennedy Smothers, Asher Baze, Brayden Hopkins, Marissa Kirby, Jayden Hayes, and Corbyn Morgan. Sister JoAnn Replogle, Brother Inlaws/Sister Inlaws Leon (Judy) Wilkinson, Loren (Terri Cantu) Wilkinson, Hildred Gordy, Ladonna Piper, Lavenia (Dave) Davis, and Lucinda (Ron) Knock, Karen Kirby, as well as several nieces & nephews.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter Holly Swarts, 2 brothers Bert (Enid) Kirby and Don Kirby, 3 Sisters Wilma (Robert) Brinegar, Betty (Johnny) Keep, and Bonnie (Charles) Davis, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service for Jackie will be held at the Thomas Funeral Home in Moulton on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at 10:30 AM. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 7 from 1:00 – 7:00 PM with family present from 5:00 – 7:00 PM. Interment will be at Sunset View Cemetery in Moulton following the service.
