Johanna Focke genannt Tomdieck joined the Roman Catholic congregation of the Zusters Franciscanessen van Münster (Sisters of St. Francis of Münster) in 1903. She chose the name Sister Gregoria and took her first vows in 1906. She worked as a Sister in both Münster and Leeuwarden. In Leeuwarden she worked as a nurse and later on the radiological department and the administration. She was Mother Superior of the Congregation in Leeuwarden between 1926 and 1932 and 1950 and 1956.

Her name is mentioned on the Monument for the Sisters of St. Francis of Münster.
