Margaret "Mag" was a beautiful and kind woman whose life spanned a century.
Margaret Watson, age 99, of Fort Pierce, Florida, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2021, less than one week from her 100th birthday. She was born August 11, 1921, in Elwood, Indiana to William and Anna Humerickhouse. She was adopted at a young age and raised by Earl and Nell Presser of Noblesville, Indiana. Margaret's young adult years were spent in Daleville Indiana raising her daughter and supporting her husband farming. In later years, Margaret relocated and was a long-term resident of Bradenton, Florida where she enjoyed gardening, cooking, bike riding, and card games with neighbor friends.
Margaret was a 1940 graduate of Walnut Grove High School in Arcadia, Indiana, a faithful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother.
Margaret is survived by her grandson Greg Blake and wife Brenda Blake; three great-grandchildren, Melissa (Blake) Tharp and husband Aaron Tharp, Austin Blake, and Samuel Blake; great, great-granddaughter Nasya Tharp, and niece Evelyn Holt and husband Don Holt.
Margaret is preceded in death by her husband Charles Watson and daughter Phyllis Watson. She will be laid to rest at Gravel Lawn Cemetery in Fortville, Indiana.
The family is grateful for the loving care Margaret received at Port St. Lucie Rehabilitation and Health Care.
