Mrs. Luella Ankeny of Harnedsville, wife of the late Calvin Ankeny, aged 76, was found dead in bed Friday morning, April 30. Funeral services were held at her home on Sunday, the Rev. Lester Barton of the Confluence Baptist Church officiating. She is survived by the following children: Earl and Mrs. Olive Phillippi of Warren, Ohio; and Claude, at home. Two stepchildren, Mrs. C.E. Brown and Harry Ankeny of Confluence, also survive. Burial was in the Addison Cemetery.

Luella is the daughter of Wright Greenberry Majors and Mary A. Thompson. She had one known sibling- a sister, Mary A. (Majors) Luckey, married to Jacob Luckey.
