He was born in Douglas, GA to the late Earl Spikes and Annie Bell Bennett Spikes. He was the owner and operator of Donnie Spikes Cabinet Shop for 20 years and a member of Sweat Memorial Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Jan Parm Spikes of Waycross; two sons, Lee Spikes (Tatum) of Waycross and John Mark Spikes (Kelly) of Waycross; four grandchildren, Ilissa, Easton, Walker, and Wyatt; a sister, Linda Bennett (Lionel) of Millwood; Ronnie Spikes (Shannon) of Blackshear; his mother-in-law, Joyce Jackson Griffin of Brantley County; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday (September 3, 2021) at Sweat Memorial Baptist Church. Burial will follow in High Bluff Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends Thursday evening at Music Funeral Home from 6 until 8 o'clock.
