Ronald Lee Anderson was born November 28, 1945, to Tom Woodrow (Tom) and Mildred (Cardwell) Anderson. He was married to Candace Sims on April 9, 1966. To this union were born two children, Brian and Erin.

Ronald's mother, Mildred, was a niece of the famous Cardwell Triplets, Faith, Hope & Charity, who each lived into their 90's.

A tribute to Ron from his high school friend, Kenneth Kerby (July 26, 2021):

Ronald "Whistle" Anderson, Class of 1964, passed away Saturday, July 24th. He was living in Bastrop, Texas. I have kept in continuous communication with him over the last two years and God has caused us to re-connect after all these years and develop a brother relationship.

Ron has had some health issues and was excited about upcoming back surgery. His faith in God always left me feeling shallow with mine. I believe he would tell me to tell ALL WHO MIGHT READ THIS, many of your friends from the past need love NOW, not later.

Ron's wife, Candace (Candy), whom he has been married to for about 56 years, had a serious stroke and has been in a rehab in Austin for almost two years. She clearly needs your prayers. Since she was unable to talk with him, Ron would sit and read the Bible to her.

I asked him why his nickname was "Whistle"? He said that when his brother tried to say his name, it always came out as "whistle".

I honour both Ron and Candy in this post. I pray that God will bless each of you and your families.

Ron's request was to be cremated and not to have a memorial service.
