On June 25, 1932, he was united in marriage to Walter Kosel. The ceremony took place in Brookings, South Dakota. They became the parents of three sons, Robert, Dean, and Douglas.
For many years, they farmed in rural Jeffers, Minnesota. Agnes loved the farm. Through the years, Agnes enjoyed helping others, painting houses, rock picking, playing the organ in church, her flower gardens, with her favorite flower being the rose, cleaning, mowing the church and cemetery. On June 30, 1994, Walter passed away. After his death, Agnes continued to live on the farm until February 2012, when she moved to The St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield, Minnesota. She passed away there on Wednesday morning, December 14, 2016, at the wonderful age of 102 years.
Agnes was a lifetime member of the Red Rock United Methodist Church in rural Sanborn and a member of the Red Rock Garden Club, plus other organizations.
Agnes is survived by her sons, Dean Kosel of Jeffers; three grandchildren, Chad Kosel, Karen (Tom) Raderstoft, and Mary (Dave) Olson; nine great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Agnes is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Walter; two sons, Robert and Doug Kosel; one grandson, Ronald Kosel; one infant grandson, Kurt Kosel; and five brothers and sisters, Ervin, Henry, Lydia, Selma, and Ella.
