Funeral Services Are Held For John Matteson
John Richard Matteson, 75, of Rte. 3, O'Fallon, died June 27 at Charlevoix Nursing Home in St. Charles. He had been an employee of the American Car and Foundry factory in St. Charles for over twenty years.
He is survived by his wife, the former Blanche Dillon; two sons, Richard and Lawrence, of Warrenton; two daughters, Mrs. Earl Lindemann of O'Fallon and Mrs. Coy Driscoe of St. Peters; brothers and sisters Viola Moore, Eunice Dewey, Anna Mae Werner, Belle Garriott, and Paul, Finis, Francis, and Russell Matteson, 14 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held June 30 at the O'Fallon Mortuary Chapel, with Pastor Grover Kagy of Harvester Baptist Church officiating, assisted by Brother Paul Crews. Interment was in St. Charles Memorial Gardens.
