Birdene Johnson Cooper

It is with sad hearts that we say goodbye to our beloved Mother. Birdene Johnson Cooper.
She was born on April 25, 1936 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Viola and Sherman C. Johnson.
She passed away on August 25, 2021 at her home in West Jordan, under hospice and
the gentle care of Son Dan and Cat.
Her love and passion was always her music. She loved playing her guitar.
She had her own band that she played and sang in. In Salt Lake and Richfield Utah.
When she was a teenager she was offered to play in Nashville,
but her parents refused to let her go. But she did have the opportunity of playing with Red Foley and Charlie Rich.
She was very set in her ways; she loved fishing and camping, and her dogs.
She married Jerry Christofferson. They had 3 sons and one daughter
They were married in the Temple. Later divorced. She married Russell
Anderson and they owned and operated the Wagon Wheel Hotel in Richfield, Utah.

Survived by children Jerry Dan Christofferson, Bert Christofferson, Brenda Christofferson Nielsen (Andy) and William Christofferson. Numerous Grandchildren.

Graveside service will be held Monday August 30, 2021 at 10 a.m.. Valley View Memorial Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest by her second husband Russell Anderson.
