Darvee Batchler, 87, of 142 Darvee Road, Blacksburg, S.C. passed away Tuesday, August 24th, 2021, at his home.
Born in Earl, N.C. he was the son of the late Millage Batchler and Pearl Rippy Batchler.
Mr. Batchler retired from textiles and was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving Mr. Batchler are two sons, Jeff Batchler and wife, Stacy, and Ricky Batchler; a brother, Haward Batchler; two sisters, Valerie Peterson and Inez Love; four grandchildren, Jeff Batchler and Christina Berry; and two great-grandchildren, Darby and Matilda Berry.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Batchler was preceded in death by three sisters, Hildred Hannon, Kathleen Blackwelder, and Oveda Batchler.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 26th, 2021, from 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. at Gordon Mortuary. Funeral services will immediately follow at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Michael Owen and William Brown officiating. Interment will follow in the Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery. Jeff Batchler, Jeff Batchler Jr, Eric Berry, Vince Andrews, William Brown, and Miquel Fernandez Gil will serve as pallbearers.
The family will be at the residence.
