Andrew Blazis, aged twenty-three, of 1729 Nay Aug avenue, a laborer, and Anthony Grinski, aged twenty-five, of 414 Courtdale street, Dunmore, a miner, who were burned by an explosion of gas in the Manville mines of the Lackawanna Coal company, Friday morning, are in a serious condition in the Moses Taylor hospital.
The explosion was caused when four men walked into a pocket of gas with a naked lamp. Two of the men were only slight burned and after being treated at the hospital went home.

DIES IN HOSPITAL AS RESULT OF EXPLOSION
Andrew Blazis, aged twenty-three, a laborer in the Manville mines of the Lackawanna Railroad company, who was burned by an explosion of gas Friday, died in the Moses Taylor hospital Monday morning at 1 o'clock as a result of burns received. Blazis lived at 1729 Nat Aug avenue.
The condition of Anthony Grinski, a miner, of 414 Courtdale street, who was also burned, was fairly good, said the doctors last night.

The funeral of Andrew Blazis, of Nay Aug avenue, will be held tomorrow afternoon. Interment will be made in Throop Cemetery.
