Linda Riggs, age 63, a resident of Modesto, passed away at Memorial Medical Center, Modesto, California.
The first memorial service was held Tuesday, Nov. 21 at Riverbank Assembly of God Church, with Lakewood Funeral Home, Hughson, in charge of arrangements. Rev. Jerry Merkouris of Beaver Valley Lutheran Church conducted a second memorial service on December 28, 2006 at Bethany Meadows in rural, Brandon, SD.
Linda grew up in Hartford and Valley Springs, SD. She was intelligent and athletic. Linda was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis at the age of 15. She moved to California with her parents in 1963. Linda married Floyd Riggs in August 1966.
Linda was survived by husband Floyd Riggs, son Richard (Mary), grandson Richard Ray II, mother F. Inda Phillips, brothers Curt and Wendell, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father and granddaughter.
