Mrs.Nelson was a World War II vetern,where she was a cook in the United Stated Army.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Lee Nelson. She is survived by her children,Donna Hamby of Cabot,Zelma Harrison and husband,Leon,of Cabot,Mikki Bolt and husband,Tom of Bossier City, La.,and Mike Nelson and wife, JoAnne,of Riverside Calif.;stepdaughter, Koneta LeVan,and husband,Bill,of Springfield,Ohio;a brother, George Brown of Providence,R.I.;two sisters, Irene Young of St.Louis,Mo.,and Deloris Brum of Rehoboth,Mass.;five grandchildren,George Hamby of Cabot,Lisa Hawkins of Kingsport,Tenn.,Amy Floyd of Sherwood,Lee Harrison of Cabot,and Stephanie Culpepper of Jacksonville;and eight great-granchildren.
Services were at 10 a.m., Monday,Feb.11,2002,at the First Baptist Church in Sherwood.Arrangements by Cabot Funeral Home.
