ADAM'S OBITUARY
Adam passed away on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Ochsner Medical Center in Baton Rouge at the age of 82, surrounded by his family. He was a native and lifelong resident of Bayou Pigeon. Adam was a retired welder and pipefitter with Local 198, and self-employed crawfisherman, who enjoyed playing his bass guitar with Dis and Dat Band. Visiting will be at Wilbert Funeral Home in Plaquemine on Wednesday, August 18th from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and again on Thursday, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Pierre Part, celebrated by Rev. Joe Camilleri. Burial will follow in St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church Cemetery in Belle River. Adam is survived by his wife of 63 years, Dorothy Coupel Berthelot; two daughters, Joanie Berthelot Cook and Stephanie Berthelot Navarre and fiancé Corey; ten grandchildren, Justin Berthelot Sr. (Haylie), Tiffany Skinner (Latrelle), Tessa Moseley (Chad), Kay Himel (David), Jared Cowden, Larry Navarre (Chelsea), Lanie Navarre, Logan Navarre (Jamie), Lindsey Doiron (L.J.), Corrie Perera; great-grandchildren, Justin Jr., Jacob, Zaylin, Phoebe, Andrea, Alexis, L.J., Chloe, Jaiden, Claire, Hayes, Emma, Abbie, Larry IV, Kaden, Skylar, Emily, Adonis and Aurora, great-great grandchildren, Sakaiya and Niclaus; three siblings, Beatrice Berthelot Coupel (Edley), Norris Berthelot (Bernadette) and Dora Passantino; numerous nieces and nephews; and his wife's family. Adam was preceded in death by his son, Adam Paul Berthelot, Jr.; parents, Clarence and Mary Solar Berthelot; brother-in-law, Tommy Passantino. Pallbearers will be his six oldest grandsons. Adam never met a stranger, he touched the lives of many people and he will be greatly missed. His plans were to play music with his brother-in-law, Gaulbert, and to go fishing when he got to heaven. Adam said he was ready to be with Jesus.
