M. Calcaterra, 95, died August 11, 2007, at the Ballentine Home in Norfolk, VA.

She was the daughter of the late John B. and Emma Megginson, born in Gates County, NC on Dec. 15, 1911. She worked for the U.S. Government at the Naval Supply Center in Norfolk, VA and retired after 35 years of service. She was an active member of Glenwood Park Presbyterian Church for 50 years.

She is survived by her daughter, Gloria L. Beale and her husband William Thomas Beale of Hampstead, NC; two granddaughters, Deborah Land of Chesapeake, VA and Roberta Thaxton and husband Gerald of Pembroke Pines, FL; two grandsons, Kenneth Beale and wife Saundra of Guyton, GA and Ronald Beale of Pembroke Pines, FL; and seven great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery with Rev. Robert W. Tull officiating. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel is handling the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Glenwood Park Presbyterian Church.
