Billie Allen, 77, of Middletown, died Wednesday, July 26, 2006, at Middletown Regional Hospital. He was born in Morgan County, Kentucky on October 7, 1928 to parents Dewey and Gertrude (Gullett) Allen.

Billie was a veteran of the United States Army. He worked for the Sunshine Biscuit company for more than 30 years, retiring in 1986. He loved spending time with his family, playing cards, and bluegrass music.

Mr. Allen is survived by his wife of 25 years, Jylonda (Russell) Allen; his daughter, Treva Carroll, and her husband Mark, of Middletown; grandson, Alan Carroll of Middletown; and special niece Cathy Phillips and family of Farmersville; He is also survived by sons, Billy Allen, Mike Allen, and Jerry Allen; and daughter, Pam Woosley, all of Kentucky; two brothers, Raleigh Allen and Alex Allen, both of Kentucky; grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Richard Allen, Cartie Allen, Gene Allen, Lonnie Allen, and Murph Allen.

Funeral Service will be held Saturday, July 29, 2006 at 12:00 Noon at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Bonita Dr.), Middletown, with Pastor Henry Clay Coldwell officiating. Visitation will be Friday, from 6-8 PM at the funeral home and Saturday, one hour prior to the service, from 11:00 – 12:00 Noon. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park with military honors conducted by American Legion Post 218.
