She lived near Riverside and attended school in a one room school near there. She later moved to Warren County and lived near Hedrick and later West Lebanon, before moving back to Attica where she has lived for the past 20 years. She was a housewife. She was a member of the Attica Christian Church and Attica Chapter #125 O.E.S. She enjoyed embroidering, making hook rugs and painting. She had formerly taught piano lessons in her home.
Surviving, are: four daughters, Mrs. Maurice (Alice) Massing, Attica; Margaret Davis, Route 2, Attica; Mrs. William (Lois) Mielke, Danville, Ill.; Mrs. William (Helen) Smith, Peoria, Ill.; two sons, Robert Miles, Pine Village; Donald Miles, Williamsport; a sister, Anna Marie Day, Attica; 18 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Billy Miles.
Graveside services and burial will be held at the West Lebanon Cemetery, West Lebanon, at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Kenneth Burris officiating.
