Obituary of Marietta Kay Nygren
Kay died of cancer on June 18, 2014, in the care of dear friends, Larry and Christina Moore, in Tumwater, Washington. She was born July 2, 1948 to Earl and Oval Sherrodd in Colville, Washington. In 1979, she married Lynn Nygren in Fife, Washington.
Kay was a loving wife, devoted mother, wonderful grandmother, sweet great grandmother, and a dear friend. A homemaker and antique appraiser, she loved spending time with her grandchildren, antiquing, and gardening.
She is survived by sons, Richard Stuberg and Wesley Nygren, both of Olympia, Washington; daughters, Rochelle Allen of Shelton, Washington, and Jessica Prince of Wenatchee, Washington; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; brothers, Bob Sherrodd of Spokane, Washington, Don Sherrodd of Colville, and Terry Sherrodd of Tacoma, Washington; and sisters, Lola Connelly of Colville, Nancy Hancock of Colorado, and Ruthie Engelhrdt of Huntley, Montana. She will be dearly missed and held forever in the hearts of many.
Kay was predeceased by her husband; granddaughter, Jennifer Allen; brother, James Dale Sherrodd; sisters, Earline Billers and Dorothy Blevins; and brother, Allen Sherrodd.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
