Donald D. Adams, age 71 of Elwood, passed away on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Ascension/St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born April 13, 1950 in Acorn, Kentucky, the son of Lonnie Otis and Elsie E. (Henderson) Adams. He was raised in the Baptist faith. After high school, Don proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. Don married Brenda S. Carroll on September 16, 1978, and they shared nearly 43 years of marriage together. Don worked in maintenance for King Systems in Noblesville for over 14 years and retired in 2012. He later owned his own commercial cleaning and maintenance business – "Adams Hometown" which he operated until his recent years.

Don was a person who could fix nearly anything, and he was well-known for helping other people all the time. He was a very generous and hard-working man. Don's family said he was "the best dad ever!" He especially enjoyed fishing, camping, and boating with his family and friends. Don loved spending time with all his family more than anything. He will be truly missed.

Don's family legacy includes his wife, Brenda Adams of Elwood; 6 children, Scott Felton of Indianapolis, Bryan (Jennifer) Adams of Anderson, Wista (Eric) Fornwalt of Bluffton, Larry Adams (Karianne Noyes) of Lafayette, Gary (Alita) Adams of Kentucky, and Donald (Michelle) Adams, Jr. of Frankton; 2 sisters Mary Anne (Gene) Johnson of St. Paul and Linda Payne of Elwood; beloved dogs, "Minus" and "Jaxson"; numerous grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.

Don was preceded in death by his parents; 9 siblings, Lonnie Adams, Loyd Norfleet, Jimmy Norfleet, Alice Conners, Herb Norfleet, Jean Shadoan, Alma Sheldon, Lynard Norfleet, and James Darrell Norfleet.

Cremation will take place and a private memorial service will take place at a later date. Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home has been entrusted to care for Don's funeral arrangements.
