He worked for the Platte County Highway Department for 46 years, as an equipment operator. He was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church, where he was an usher and greeter and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #12086. Bob was a 40 year member of the Monroe Volunteer Fire Department.
He was a founding member of the Silver Spurs Saddle Club, an assistant leader of the Buckeroos 4-H Club, a member of the American Pinto Horse Association, the American Paint Horse Association and the Nebraska Cattleman's Association.
