Son of Harry & Emma (Thayer) Laudenklos Sr.
He attended District 4 school and graduated from Platte Center High School in 1955. Bob married Phyllis Parolek on May 26, 1962 in Schuyler, Nebraska. He worked for the Platte County Highway Department for 46 years, as an equipment operator. He was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church, where he was an usher and greeter and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #12086. Bob was a 40 year member of the Monroe Volunteer Fire Department.

He was a founding member of the Silver Spurs Saddle Club, an assistant leader of the Buckeroos 4-H Club, a member of the American Pinto Horse Association, the American Paint Horse Association and the Nebraska Cattleman's Association.
