Jack Blanton, age 78, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 25, 2018 at Hospice Wendover. Born in Cleveland County on June 8, 1939 he was the son of the late Posey and Tinnie Pearson Blanton. Jack was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church. Jack was a service technician for Heating and Air before he retired. He enjoyed reading when he was able. In addition to his parents, Jack is preceded in death by 4 brothers and a sister.
Jack is survived by his wife of 40 years, Kathy Moss Blanton; five children, eight grandchildren; and was grateful for the friendship of Jim Woodard of Shelby.
