24 Able Seaman A Musgrove, HMS Powerful. Deployed with the Naval guns to Ladysmith in support of the Natal Task Force. Was in Ladysmith throughout the siege. Died of enteric fever (typhoid) at the Intombi Military Hospital, Ladysmith early in the recuperation period following the relief of the town on 28 Feb 1900. He was buried in Intombi cemetery. He is also commemorated on the HMS Powerful Boer War memorial in Victoria Park, Portsmouth, Hampshire, England (see: https://www.warmemorialsonline.org.uk/memorial/102637).
