GALENA, Kan. — Berene E. Armer, 65, 802 Mineral St., died at 12:10 p.m. Thursday at St. John's Medical Center, Joplin, Mo., where she had been a patient for a week.

Born Dec. 9, 1907, at Mountain View, Mo., Mrs. Armer had lived in Galena since 1944 coming here from Joplin. She married Thomas Lee Armer Nov. 17, 1928, at Joplin. He died Feb. 14, 1945. Mrs. Armer was a member of the Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include two sons, Urel Armer, BuenaPark, Calif., and Marshall Paul Armer, Lakewood, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Barbara Wade, Mrs. Marjorie Mallatt and Miss
Shirley Armer, all of Galena; four brothers, Delmer Holden, Miami, Okla., Adolph Holden
and Jesse Holden, both of Mountain View, and Louis Holden, Nevada, Mo.; 18 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Assembly of God Church. The Rev. Jerry McCamey and the Rev. Carol Holden will officiate. Burial will be in Hillcrest [Hill Crest] Cemetery under direction of Derfelt Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be grandsons Tommy Wade, Alvin Wade, Alan Wade, Robert Wade, Tommy Armer, Alvin Armer and Danny Sanders.
