A beloved mother, cherished grandmother and devoted sister, she died Monday, Jan. 22, 2001, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 74 and a native of Westover. Visiting was at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Religious services at St. Louis King of France Catholic Church at 8:30 a.m. Thursday. Burial in Pace Cemetery, Natchitoches, at 2:30 p.m. Thursday. Survived by three sons, Floyd "Jerry" Pace, Ronald J. Pace and Michael Julius Pace Sr.; three daughters-in-law, Susie Pace, Missy Pace and Danielle Pace; grandchildren, Brad Pace and wife Amy, and Michael J. Jr., Holly and Lindsay Pace; great-grandchildren, Lyndon Pace and Blair Copeland; sisters, Rosalie Arboneaux, Hazel Chapman, Mildred Bellinger, Delores Simoneaux and Kitty Alford; and brothers, Elmore J. Burns, Charles Burns and Richard Burns. Preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Pace; parents, Inez and Willoughby Gay Burns; a sister, Rita Bernard; and brothers, twin Joseph J. Burns, John J. Burns and Willoughby Gay Burns Jr. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center for the compassionate care given to their dear mother, grandmother and sister during her illness.
