Glenda Gilliam passed away July 10, 2021 after a long battle due to complications caused by Covid.

She was the oldest of 3 sisters "the DeArmon girls" who grew up together on their family farm located in Bellmead just outside of Waco, Texas. She met Larry Gilliam, her husband of 65 years where he was working at the family business, Gilliam's Grocery Store.

In 1955 she graduated from LaVega High School and married Larry in 1956. She went on to pursue a Bachelor of Arts from Mary Hardin Baylor in Belton, Texas. She was a teacher and librarian for 30 years. She was a member of Meadowbrook Baptist Church in Irving, Texas.

Preceding her in death are Glenda's parents, Dommie "Daddy Dee" DeArmon and Vanus "MeMo" DeArmon. Survivors include her husband, Dr. Larry Gilliam, daughters, Valerie and Stephanie, grand children, sisters, Kay Jennings and Yeada Gunter, nephew and niece and other family.

Funeral services will be at July 14, 2021. Graveside services will be at Waco Memorial Park in Waco, Texas...Donnelly's Colonial Funeral Home.
