GILBERT, Orbon Lee - Age 81 of Nashville, TN, passed away January 13, 2006. Mr. Gilbert was born in 1924 in McEwen, TN. He was in the Army Air Corps, and served as a Tailgunner in WWII. Mr. Gilbert was a Real Estate Broker & Appraiser for 37 years, and a member & Deacon of Charlotte Rd. Baptist Church. Preceded in death by daughter, Linda Gilbert Pedigo. Survived by wife, Dorothy Gilbert; daughters, Patricia Pedigo of Iceland, Sheila (Jim) Miederhoff; son, Richard (Gail) Gilbert; 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers; 3 sisters. Funeral services will be conducted 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Woodlawn South Mausoleum Chapel, with Bro. Bob Pearce & Bro. Fred Phanco officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park with Military Honors. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Monday & 1 hour prior to service Tuesday. Pallbearers serving: 4 brothers & 4 grandsons. Honorary Pallbearers: Men's Sunday School Class of Charlotte Rd. Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Parkinson's Assoc., & Alzheimer's Assoc.
