"A TRIBUTE
Elsworth Chesser, only son of Capt. and Mrs. George P. Chesser, died of apendicitis (sic) at Winchester, Queen Anne's county, Md., Dec. 12, after an illness of only five days.
Elsworth though but six years old was large for his age and a very bright boy. He was devoted to Sunday School and the idol of his home. Mrs. Linwood Thomas was his Sunday school teacher. Rev. Mr. Fooks spoke very tenderly of Elsworth's good qualities at his funeral; the interment taking place at Murray's M.P. Church. He was a nephew of Mrs. Geo. W. Peterson of this town.
A Friend."

Note: The "Murray's M.P. Church" cited in the obituary is defunct. It merged with Simpers Methodist Church and formed the Immanuel Methodist Church ca. 1947.
