1985 & 2006 Duczek Reunion: Theresa Duczek, born August 1, 1896 in Austria. She married Michael (Mike) Bruch June 25, 1912. Michael was born September 26, 1892. They farmed until 1919, then moved to Killaly, where they owned and operated a hotel and garage. In 1932 their property was destroyed by fire. They moved to MacNutt, SK, in 1933, where they operated a hotel and liquor store. In 1939 they returned to their farm at Killaly. They have five children: Mary, Charles, Alice, Allan and Marlene. Theresa passed away July 4, 1947 at the age of 50. She is at rest in the St. Elizabeth's Cemetery, Killaly, Saskatchewan. In 1949, Mike Bruch went west to make his home in Aldergrove, B.C. Here he raised fruit and livestock. He remarried Mary Schaan in 1950. Mary was born October 1, 1901. She passed away November 29, 1961 at the age of 60. Mike Bruch passed away June 10, 1964 at the age of 72. Both Mike and Mary are at rest in Langley Cemetery, B.C.
