Eleanor Shipka, 90, died on October 3, 2003. She was surrounded by family at her bedside. Eleanor was a life long resident of Minnesota except for 4 years residing in Anchorage, Ala. She was one of the first women to travel the Yukon Highway. She had a love of birds, fishing, and camping. She also loved gardening. She will be sadly missed by all. Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband, Edward, who died in 1974. Her son, William, in 1990, and 12 brothers and sisters. Eleanor was survived by her daughter, Carol Marshall (Doug); seven grandchildren, Vicki Maroschek (Joe), Diane Johnson (Greg), Chuck Shipka (Kay), Wendy Schimenek (John), Robin Williams (Vincent), Douglas Marshall Jr. (Sarah), Shannon Marshall; nine great-grandchildren and neighbors, Katie and Wally Zick.
