Mrs. Lapis was born in Lemnos, Greece, but had lived here for 50 years. Her husband was James Lapis. She was a member of the Hellenic Orthodox Church of Poughkeepsie.
Survivors include; a daughter, Mrs. Anna Yantsios of Long Island City, and four sons, Nicholas, Peter, Alexander and George, all of the Town of Fishkill. Mrs. Lapis had 10 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at St. Luke's Church on Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. Father Athanasios Chamberas of Poughkeepsie., officiating. Burial will be in Fishkill Rural Cemetery under the direction of the William T. Keelan Funeral Home.
Friends may call at the funeral home, 51 North St., Tuesday afternoon and evening.
