Richard Jackson "Jack" Peters, age 86, of Waverly, MO, died Saturday, June 26, 2021.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 30, at Eagle Bluff Ranch in Waverly, with Rev. Sally DeMasters and William W. Harlow officiating. Burial will follow at Waverly Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Eagle Bluff Ranch.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to Waverly United Methodist Church, in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home. An online guestbook is available at www.campbell-lewis.com.

Born November 3, 1934 in Marshall, he was the son of the late Herman W. Peters Sr. and Virginia Stonetta White Peters. Jack lived in the Waverly area his entire life and was a 1952 graduate of Santa Fe High School. As a third generation owner, Jack started working in his family's business, Peters Orchards, following high school where he continued to be involved through his life. In the late 70's he was one of the founders who started Community Bank of Marshall where he was on the Board of Directors and served as the Chief Executive Officer. He enjoyed fishing, duck hunting, and spending time in his vegetable garden. Jack married Darlene Brownfield on August 22, 1954 and she survives of the home. He was a member of the Waverly United Methodist Church.

In addition to his wife of 66 years, Darlene; he is survived by two daughters, Susan Harbison (Dave) of Nixa and Carolyn Campbell of Waverly; four grandchildren: Jeff Harbison (Laura) of Cameron, Brian Harbison (Kate) of Nixa, Scott Campbell (Kristina) of Waverly and Christina Campbell of Waverly; eight great-grandchildren: Connor and Cooper Harbison, Britton, Brinley, and Knox Harbison, Ethan, Marie, and James Campbell; along with several nieces and nephews.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Herman W. "Sonny" Peters Jr. and a son-in-law, Jeff Campbell.
