Butch was born on July 12, 1950 in St. Edward, Nebraska to Alva Cranmore and Dorothy (Delatour) Cranmore. He grew up on the family farm in Broadwater, Nebraska. He worked hard on the farm, often getting up early to do chores before attending school each day, and returning after school to the farm to chore again. He did various jobs later in his young adult life; farm hand, NTC Trucking ,and Night Brothers Construction.
On December 9th, 1969 he was married to Melanie McColloch. They were married for 48 years and 3 children were born: Clint, Jae, and Brooke. They made a home in Marquette. Butch owned and ran Butch's Scrap Metal and Recycling for most of his adult life. He enjoyed spending time with all of his family, playing pitch and Husker Football. Before his health declined, he enjoyed playing the guitar. He also attended the Assembly of God Church and then the Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his children, Clint Cranmore of Marquette, NE, Jae Cranmore of Marquette,NE ,Brooke (Jim) Boyce of North Bend, NE; grandchildren, Tristan Boyce , Nathan Boyce, Kendyl Boyce and Izek Cranmore, Sisters; Donna Sanford, Lairie Coleman, Sue Kamler and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Butch was preceded in death by his parents, and Melanie, the love of his life.
